What does it cost?

WHAMagent's mobile real estate listings are priced monthly based on number of listings.

For agents, prices are as follows (single keyword only):

      1 listing   $24.95 / mo
      2 - 10 listings   $49.95 / mo   ($5 / listing)
      11 - 25 listings   $99.95 / mo   ($4 / listing)
      26 - 50 listings   $174.95 / mo   ($3.50 / listing)
      51 - 100 listings   $349.95 / mo   ($3.50 / listing)

Agents with more than 100 listings can receive additional volume discounts. Please call 866-942-6839 x706 to purchase more than 100 listings.

How does it work exactly?

It's simple. Place text codes on all of your marketing materials.
One example is to put a sign like this in front of your listing --------------->

Then when a homeshopper texts they get the property info
right to their phone as well as a number of options for additional follow up. The consumer may request information about open houses, schedule a showing, request e-mail contact, and many more options, just by texting.

At the same time you get a lead texted and e-mailed right to you that says (for example) "A customer with phone number 555-555-5555 has inquired about your property 123 Main St."

Is there a setup process?

WHAMagent completely automates the process for all agents. In many areas WHAMagent is able to sync with your local MLS so all listings are setup automatically. In areas where an MLS feed is not available, our "Easy MLS" feature allows you to setup your listings simply by inputting your MLS number. We take care of the rest.

Do I have to be tech-savvy to use the service?

WHAMagent is committed to accessibility for every agent, regardless of technical ability. Whether your an ex-programmer or can barely turn on your computer, WHAMagent will meet you where you are. Our customer service and listing support department takes care of each and every agent like they are our most important client (they are). When you set up your profile with WHAMagent you are presented with options on how you prefer to interact with the service. Setting up your listings or managing your account is as easy as a phone call or e-mail.

And of course for our techie clients, you can login and administer your profile and your listings at any time.

Can a group of agents or a team split a package of listings?

Absolutely, and it's a great way to bring each agent's cost down. There are 2 ways agents can benefit from participating as a group:

1. Individual packages can be split among several agents with individualized lead routing. This allows several agents to share a keyword, split the cost, and still receive their own leads for their own listings. There may be a small surcharge for individual lead routing.

2. An office may purchase a pool of listings then agents may share from the pool at a cost of $15 per agent. Each agent receives their own keyword with their own branding and pays just $15 to share from the pool.

What if I am a broker and want to sign up my office?

WHAMagent offers special pricing packages for brokers. Packages range up to 20,000 listings. Call 866-942-6839 x703 for details.

Brokers may configure individual lead routing for properties or divide their pool of listings among several agents. In such cases extra charges may apply.

Do I need signs? What kind?

The service generally works best in conjunction with yard signs placed in front of a listed property. How do I sign up?

It's easy to sign up now. Make sure to allow popups so your login screen can open in another window. Once you reach the login screen, either login or click "Click here to get started" if you are new.

Is this a product for mortgage officers?

WHAMagent is a real estate marketing tool and lead generator. Obviously, nearly every prospective buyer is also a prospective borrower. In that sense the leads that WHAMagent's products generate are great for mortgage officers as well. Additionally, each WHAMagent info page for consumers contains a "Mortgage Info" link which can be linked to any mortgage company of the agent's choosing.

Why should I choose a text-based services over an 800 number or voice service?

To understand why it is important to choose a text-based service (also called SMS) over those that use either a phone number or audio/voice it is helpful to look at a few statistics. In the last 2 years in the U.S. use of text messaging has increased 450% while traditional dialing and calling has actually declined slightly. Now of course people still make personal phone calls but for information searching (like looking up info on a property) services like SMS and the internet are fast becoming the preferred method. Consider this, as of summer 2008, the 35-44 year old demographic sends more text messages than makes phone calls. With the average homebuyer being 39 years old that's a pretty powerful statistic! Furthermore, studies show that people have negative associations with calling 800 numbers and with prerecorded voice messages. Even services that claim to combine an 800 service with a text service are slightly off-base. Tech-savvy consumers prefer to send text messages. One survey respondent summed it up best with "Listening to a prerecorded message of any kind is basically like being on hold. I just hang up..." Remember instant pictures are worth a thousand words so don't ask consumers to sit through the thousand words when sending pictures is this easy.
